Western Regionals - Laffont Competition
As a winner of the LA District Competition, Alexandra will compete at the Western Regional of the Laffont Metropolitan Opera Competition.
Viola Plus with Tatjana Masurenko
Enjoy an afternoon of chamber music masterworks in which the rich, dark sound of the viola plays a central role. Directed by renowned violist Tatjana Masurenko, Viola Plus returns with another rousing program featuring Tatjana herself, Colburn faculty and students, and special guests. Alexandra will sing Quatre poemes pour voix, alto, et piano by Charles Loeffler, as well as a few selected songs.
Toronto Summer Music Art of the Song
Alexandra participated in the Art of the Song fellowship, performing works by Strauss, Korngold, Isabelle Aboulker, Messiaen, and Rachmaninoff. She was coached by Steven Philcox, Mary Bevan, and Roger Vignoles.
Spoleto Festival - Vocal Fellow
Alexandra will participate as a Vocal Fellow at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. Among other choral repertoire, she will perform as Crobyle in Massenet’s Thaïs.
Fauré's Requiem
Alexandra will perform the soprano solos in Fauré’s Requiem with the Community Chorus of Redlands and choirs from the University of Redlands.
Joy in Singing Winner's Concert
As the winner of Joy in Singing’s International Art Song Competition, Alexandra will make her Carnegie Hall and New York City debut in a recital of art song. She will be joined by collaborator, Cynthia Liu. Featured composers include Jean Sibelius, Joseph Marx, Lili Boulanger, and Tom Cipullo.
Joy in Singing International Art Song Competition Finals
Alexandra is one of five finalists and will be performing a 20 minute set of art song selections. This round of the competition is open to the public and will be held in Opera America’s Marc A. Scorca Hall.
Scholarship Winner Recital: Opera Illinois League
Alexandra will perform a recital of art song, opera arias, and musical theatre as the winner of the Mary Ellen Clancy Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to the top emerging opera vocalist through a national competition with MIOpera and the Opera Illinois League.
Soprano Soloist: A Night at the Movies at the Peninsula Music Festival
Alexandra will perform as a guest artist with the Peninsula Music Festival.
L'enfant et les sortilèges - Music Academy of the West (Le feu)
Alexandra will perform Le feu in L’enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel, directed by Mary Birnbaum.
Carmen - Music Academy of the West (Frasquita)
As a Lehrer Vocal Fellow, Alexandra will perform the role of Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen under the baton of Daniela Candillari. Ken Cazan is the director and Manuel Gutierrez is the choreographer and movement coach.
Salon Series at Music Academy of the West
As a Lehrer Vocal Institute Fellow, Alexandra will sing Ariel by Ned Rorem with Piano Fellow Tony Stauffer and Clarinet Fellow Phoebe Kuan.
Opera Scenes - Music Academy of the West
Alexandra will perform in a concert of Opera Scenes at the Music Academy of the West.
Alexandra Rose Hotz and Maeve Berry in Recital
Alexandra and long-time collaborator, Maeve Berry, will give a recital in Alexandra’s hometown of Toledo at the Pemberville Opera House.

The ten fellows of CSI’s inaugural The Fellowship of the Song take the stage for the second of two scintillating programs.

Margo Garrett leads The Fellowship of the Song’s third song workshop in an exploration of Spanish music by Enrique Granados, Xavier Montsalvatge, Fernando Obradors, and Joaquín Turina.
With pianist Érico Bezerra, Alexandra will perform “Iban al penar” from Canciones amatorias by Enrique Granados.

Margo Garrett leads The Fellowship of the Song’s second song workshop in an exploration of French music by Claude Debussy and Lili Boulanger.
With pianist Maeve Berry, Alexandra will sing “Parfois, je suis triste” from Clairiéres dans le ciel by Lili Boulanger.

Margo Garrett leads The Fellowship of the Song’s first song workshop in an exploration of American music by Dominick Argento, Lori Laitman, Tania León, and John Musto.
With pianist Corinne Penner, Alexandra will sing “Notes Towards a Poem That Can Never Be Written” and “Eating Fire” from Atwood Songs by Tania Léon.

Along with pianist Lara Saldanha, Alexandra will sing Jean Sibelius’ Op. 37.
Opera Birmingham Vocal Competition Finals
Alexandra has been named a finalist in the Opera Birmingham Vocal Competition and will compete in the finals on March 17th.
In Recital with Brock Tjosvold
In his first Faculty Recital at the Eastman School of Music, Dr. Brock Tjosvold will present Lili Boulanger’s Clairiéres dans le ciel with Alexandra.
